Silversun

Silversun is an Australian science fiction children's television series produced by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). It centers on the teenage crew of the interstellar spaceship *Star Runner*, which is carrying 550 cryonically frozen colonists—referred to as "cryons"—to a habitable planet called the Silver Sun. The story is set in the year 2052, two years into a 90-year journey to a world 45 light-years from Earth. Because the voyage spans nearly a century, most of the crew are adolescents who will eventually take over command as the adult crew members age.

The main cast includes Thomas Blackburne as Tane Wilson, a skilled cadet pilot; Cleopatra Coleman as Zandie Brokow, a strong-minded ex-cryon; Ryan Corr as Sheng Zammett, a brilliant cadet scientist; Karli Dinardo as Cinnamon Everson, young daughter of Steve and Karen; Cherise Donovan as Leonella Reiss, a cadet medical officer and daughter of Lillian; Angus McLaren as Degenhardt Bell, a cadet who cares for the cryons in the hold; Eloise Mignon as Mara Lomax, a cadet medical officer with leadership ambitions; Orpheus Pledger as Tycho Everson, young son of Steve and Karen; Sarah Walker as Pancha McCaskill, the cadet computer officer with a brain implant linking her telepathically to the ship’s computers; Michelle Pettigrove as Doctor Lillian Reiss, chief medical officer and second-in-command; Teague Rook as Steve Everson, the stern engineer; Yesse Spence as Karen Everson, the astronomer and navigator; and Jeremy Stanford as Commander Aaron "Skipper" Cyriax, the commanding officer. Stanford also plays an alien-virus illusion of himself and a clone called "C2" or "Will Power."

Guest cast members include Joan Murray as Eileen Lomax (three episodes), Nathan Vernon as Jarrax Wells (one episode), Don Halbert as an interviewer (uncredited), Tracy Mann as a holophone voice (two episodes), Victoria Eagger as Commodore Sorenson (one episode), Adrian Mulraney as Commander John Darius (two episodes), Michael Harrison as Julian Strega (four episodes), and Anthony Mays as a stunt double for Strega (one episode).
